Carolyn Male MP, State Member for Pine Rivers, said that lawn bowl players will be able to play their favourite sport at the Pine Rivers Memorial Bowls Club all year round following the completion of nearly $3 million in upgrades to the facility.

Carolyn Male MP said Bligh Government funding of $1,417,530 has helped the club convert an existing lawn green to synthetic material with shade cover.

“The new green is going to save the club time and money in terms of upkeep,” Carolyn Male MP said.

“The synthetic grass doesn’t require any watering thereby ensuring optimum playing conditions and maintenance costs for synthetic surfaces are minimal in comparison to grass.”

Carolyn Male MP said it’s important to keep local sporting clubs in tip top shape. » more
