The LNP make two false claims in their advertisement for last Saturday’s Market Day.
Firstly- they claim that they “exposed” the damage to the bridge, and accused Transport and Main Roads staff of covering up the damage. This is utter nonsense. Once it was determined that the AJ Wyllie bridge was unsalvageable, I immediately made a public statement. The department did not hide the problem, and I am disgusted that the LNP would accuse my staff, who worked so hard after the floods, of a coverup. » more
