Carolyn Male MP, State Member for Pine Rivers, is pleased to announce that Holy Spirit School has received over $1.4 million dollars of funding under the Queensland Government’s Capital Assistance Scheme and External Infrastructure Subsidy Scheme.
“Holy Spirit School has received $1 352 549 for construction of 6 General learning Areas, associated travel and pupil amenities and $166 605 for car set down and external roadworks,” Carolyn Male MP said.
Carolyn Male MP said that these programs significantly ease the costs associated with projects at eligible non-state schools.
“This funding is great news for the students, parents and teachers from Holy Spirit School,” Carolyn Male MP said.
“This investment in school infrastructure is part of the Bligh Government’s commitment to supporting and creating Queensland jobs.”
“We have had to make the hard decisions to keep our building program going, to deliver modern facilities to keep people in jobs.”
“This is just not an investment in providing modern teaching and learning environments - it’s an investment in protecting Queensland jobs during tough economic times.”
“We are transforming our schools with these projects because we know having 21st Century facilities and technology will help us improve student achievement,” Carolyn Male MP said.
“We want to see Queensland students up there with the best.”
