Carolyn Male MP, State Member for Pine Rivers, said today that Pine Rivers Neighbourhood Centre will be receiving a much needed boost in funding.
Carolyn Male MP said the Bligh government is proving supplementary funding to non-government organisations that provide community support services in the areas of homelessness, family support, domestic violence, seniors and youth.
“Pine Rivers Neighbourhood Centre has received $21 839 for family support services, the Homelessness Early Intervention Service and counselling services,” Carolyn Male MP said.
“Pine Rivers Neighbourhood Centre also received funding for their Relationships Australia program for Individual and Family Support Services amounting to $11 576.”
“This funding allocation was in response to the Queensland Government’s awareness of the various pressures experienced by funded non-government organisations,” Carolyn Male MP said.
“In line with the government’s commitment to maintaining services to Queensland’s most vulnerable citizens, the supplementation funding has been prioritised to those services being delivered to fully dependant and vulnerable clients.”
“The Bligh government is continuing to deliver on its commitment to provide quality services to vulnerable and disadvantaged individuals and families.”
These funds are provided under the provisions of the Community Services Act 2007.
