Carolyn Male MP, State Member for Pine Rivers, would like to encourage the Pine Rivers Electorate to join her in the challenge of saying no to alcohol for ten days in the Healthy High 09 challenge.

Carolyn Male has taken up the challenge to not consume alcohol for a period of ten days from 12am Friday 19 June 2009 to 11.59pm Sunday 28 June 2009.

Healthy High 09 coincides with Drug Action Week and is run by Drug Arm Australasia. Drug Action Week is an initiative coordinated by the Alcohol and other Drugs Council of Australia, and supported by the Department of Health and Ageing.

Drug Action Week aims to raise awareness about the full range of alcohol and other drug issues and highlight the achievements of frontline workers. In 2009, the theme of Drug Action Week is “Alcohol is a drug too”.

The purpose of Healthy High 09:
• Proceeds raised will support Drug Arm’s Street Outreach Service vans that make contact with over 40,000 homeless people each year who have, or are at risk of having alcohol and drug related issues
• To demonstrate that there are benefits to a lifestyle without drinking
• To provide help and support to people who struggle to give up alcohol for ten days.

Registration is free - to sign up and join Carolyn visit www.healthyhigh.com.au.

Your involvement assists in ensuring we generate greater awareness in the community and propel a positive message to all Australians to take responsibility for their overall health and wellbeing.
