Carolyn Male MP, State Member for Pine Rivers, would like to make the Pine Rivers community aware that the Justice of the Peace in the Community Program is in operation at the Pine Rivers Court House.
Carolyn Male MP said, “This program has allowed the community a direct access to the services of the Justice of the Peace volunteers across the State.”
“The opening of the new Pine Rivers Courthouse in September 2008 provided a focal point for the delivery of justice services to this fast-growing community.”
“The State Government has established a signing facility in the Pine Rivers Courthouse, which provides a signing service Monday-Friday between 9am and 2pm with six volunteers currently on the roster.”
“The Government is also providing professional development to participants and mentoring program for newly appointed Justices of the Peace (Qualified),” Carolyn Male MP said.
“Through this program, we are well on the way to meeting the target of doubling volunteer participation by 2020 in line with the tenets of Toward Q2 - Tomorrow’s Queensland.”
“The success of this program is not surprising due to the demand on witnessing services by the public with several thousand documents signed daily.”
“Through this community program, people in the Pine Rivers electorate can now easily access Justice of the Peace services at a convenient location,” Carolyn Male MP said.
