“This strategy includes a range of initiatives that will assist Queensland’s businesses prepare for and adapt to climate change.”

“Another initiative, the ClimateSmart Business Service is scheduled to commence from 1 July 2010, and will help Queensland’s small to medium sized businesses reduce their greenhouse gas emissions and prepare for higher energy and other input costs.

“This Service will be similar to the popular ClimateSmart Home Service.”

“Businesses may also be interested in taking advantage of the recently released The Business Guide to the Low Carbon Economy: Queensland.”

“The guide is a practical handbook covering issues that a business needs to consider when developing a climate strategy. The guide can be downloaded from the Climate Group’s website at www.theclimategroup.org.”

“Interested business may also want to take part in the Queensland Government’s ecoBiz initiative.
